New Product Spotlight: Talk Time Big-Point

Filed under: Blog, Latest News — Jamie @ 9:48 am

As you may know if you’ve viewed our new 2012 Catalogue, we’ve added a great range of speaking and listening resources this year; one of which is the Talk Time Big-Point.

These large, bright, colourful talking buttons can record up to 30 seconds of sound each.  They also feature a removable clear top, so you can place letters, numbers or pictures inside to match the recording, making them a great multi-sensory product.  Being so easy to use, they are ideal for young children and their large size also makes them suitable for children with visual or motor skill impairments.

These could be used to create fun, interactive classroom displays, or to record sound effects and play back during storytelling, or for colour coded question and answer games… the list goes on!

Big-Points can be purchased individually or as a full set of 5 including one of each colour.  Click here to go to the product page.

New Buyer’s Guide: Projectors

Filed under: Blog, Latest News — Jamie @ 9:45 am

Projectors are an amazing teaching tool, especially when coupled with an Interactive Whiteboard.  But being a great form of technology, they bring with them a great amount of jargon.  Which is better: LCD or DLP?  What is ANSI lumens and how much of it do I need?  What is SXGA+?  What is Keystone Correction and do I need it?  Our new Projectors Buyer’s Guide answers all of these questions and more.  It also gives advice on choosing a suitable projection screen to go with your projector.

New Buyer’s Guide: Visualisers

Filed under: Blog, Latest News — Jamie @ 9:26 am

Technology is great, but it’s not always easy to understand exactly what it does;  especially not when the product descriptions usually contain more acronyms than an Army Newsletter.  Then there’s the sheer choice we have these days – just look at the mobile phone industry.  Sometimes it’s hard to know where to even begin.

We’ve often had schools contact us saying the same thing, which is why we wrote our first advice guide last year giving 7 Top Tips when buying new Headphones.  It was written to cut through the technical jargon and help schools to understand why you might want (or not want) certain features.

Now, we’ve written another Buyer’s Guide for Visualisers.  This guide contains 8 top tips which will explain the various specifications and features you might get in a modern visualiser, not in tech speak but in plain English.  We hope it will help you understand more about visualisers, but if you have any questions regarding visualisers then you can email support@wishtrac.com or call us for free on 08000 80 77 80.
